What a year for Sarasota County Schools Athletics. 🏆

During the 2025-2026 school year, SCS student-athletes earned 26 district championships, 12 regional championships, 2 team state championships, multiple individual state titles, and numerous academic and athletic honors. 📚🏅

From the classroom to the competition field, court, pool, track, and beyond, our students continued to demonstrate excellence, determination, and sportsmanship.

Congratulations to all of our student-athletes, coaches, athletic directors, and supporters on an incredible year.

Congratulations to Ethan Brattli, a senior at Suncoast Polytechnical High School, on being named a winner in the America250FL Essay Contest!!

Ethan's award-winning essay, “Andrew Jackson and the Influence of Federalism in Florida,” was selected as one of the top entries in the state. He was recognized at a special reception hosted by Governor Ron DeSantis at the Governor’s Mansion in Tallahassee.

The America250FL Art and Essay Contest invited students to create original works based on the theme, “Celebrating Florida’s Contributions to America.” As a contest winner, Ethan received a college scholarship provided by the Florida Prepaid College Foundation. 🎉
