The drive-through automated returns machine has been repaired. To prevent jams or further downtime, when returning items in the machine please remember to enter one item at a time and to wait for the green light before proceeding. Forcing many items in against the conveyor belt breaks the physical mechanism, and entering too many items at a time prevents the machine from properly processing the items (in other words, they don't get checked in). Thanks for your help in keeping our systems in good order so we can most efficiently serve our community!

Are you ready for a quacking good time?

Starting tomorrow (Tuesday, June 2) registration opens to adopt a rubber duck for our 5th Annual Rubber Duck-orating Contest! Duck-orators may pick up their ducks the same day they register. After ducks are picked up, duck-orators take them home to duck-orate as desired (keeping it family-friendly) before returning their ducks to the library for voting.

We love summer!

Though we were closed for Memorial Day yesterday, we had staff come spend part of their holiday shelving all of our returns. When we came in this morning, all of our shelving carts were empty - but being the day after a holiday (and the first day of Summer Break, to boot) they've filled back up pretty quickly, as you can see. Please be patient with us as we work through the wave of returns and shelving - we promise we'll get caught up!
