North Carolina, in the Town of Saratoga. Our primary response area is about 37 square miles, with a population of about 2500 residents. We operate out of a single station, with seven pieces of apparatus. We have 25 motivated and dedi

cated Volunteers, with many of our members certified at the NC Firefighter I&II Level. Many are also certified as EMT's and Emergency Medical Responders. Since 10 this morning, Sanoca members have been at the scene of a natural gas leak on Gardner School Rd.
This leak and deployment of resources could have been avoided if the contractor would have waited for the proper utility locating services.
Please remember to Call 811 before digging!

The fire station apron is getting some special attention! Former Fire Chief Carson Cobb saw our previous post and immediately jumped into action. He is currently scraping away, clearing a path for the fire engines and uttered the statement, "Bojangles was closed, so I had to find something to do!"

Even though the roads are nearly impassable in and around Saratoga, rest assured that we are ready, willing, and able to respond if needed. Our members worked hard preparing E23 (only a few modifications and with donated materials) for the conditions. Luckily, we've only had a couple calls for service with no reports of injuries or property damage.

Today, Terry Snell and his family stopped by the station to drop off a gift as a gesture of appreciation. About a month ago, they experienced a fire in their home, and our quick response helped lead to a fast knockdown.
