Great training tonight with our cadets working on car fires 🔥🚗. These hands-on evolutions are huge for building confidence, teamwork, and real-world skills.

Big thank you to Bethel-Tate Fire Cadets for coming out and training alongside us—always a great time learning and working together.

Also, a huge thank you to Williamsburg Township Fire Department for allowing us to use their car fire prop. We appreciate the continued support in helping train the next generation.

📞🚨 Happy 🚨📞

The Eastern Joint Fire/EMS Cadets would like to give a huge shoutout to our incredible dispatchers who are the true first first responders at Brown County Communications Center!

Behind every call is a calm voice, a steady mind, and someone working tirelessly to get us the information we need to respond safely and effectively. Whether it’s a routine call or a high-stress emergency, you are always there—guiding, coordinating, and supporting both the public and responders in the field.

Your dedication does not go unnoticed. We appreciate the long hours, the quick thinking, and the professionalism you bring every single day.

Thank you for being the link between chaos and calm.

💛 Stay safe, and thank you for all that you do.

Really proud of the hard work our cadets continue to put in. During this training we focused on ladders, VES (Vent, Enter, Search), and different rescue techniques that are critical skills on the fireground. The cadets were eager to learn, asked great questions, and didn’t hesitate to get hands-on and practice the skills being taught.

It’s always great to see the motivation and dedication they have to improving themselves and learning what it takes to be part of the fire service. Watching them work together, support each other, and push themselves to learn new techniques shows just how committed they are to serving their community one day.

Also a huge thank you to the Mount Orab Fire Department for allowing us to use their burn tower for this training opportunity.

The future of the fire service is bright with a group like this coming up. Keep up the great work and keep learning.

Today our cadets spent time training on fire hydrants and SCBA air packs, focusing on the fundamentals of fireground operations and how the equipment works.

They reviewed proper hydrant operations, including identifying hydrant types, flushing, hooking up supply lines, and understanding water flow basics. On the SCBA side, they went over donning and doffing procedures, air management, emergency functions, and the importance of equipment checks before and after use.

We emphasized not just how to use the equipment, but why each step matters — building a strong foundation in safety, accountability, and operational readiness.

Proud of the effort these cadets continue to put in as they prepare to follow in the footsteps of those who serve before them. The future of the fire service is being built one training at a time. 🚒
