Ongoing dry fuels will yield elevated wildfire conditions through at least Saturday across the entire Four State Region. Outdoor burning and activities that involve open sparks or flames are discouraged.

Webster Parish is under a Burn Ban effective immediately. Upon recommendation from the Webster Parish Fire Chiefs Association, we have issued a burn ban prohibiting ALL outdoor burning in accordance with Parish Ordinance No. 976. This ban shall be in effect until such time as the parish receives sufficient rainfall and the Fire Chiefs Association deems the emergency conditions have subsided.

Sarepta Fire District 5 is in the process of updating our incident Pre-Plans for commercial structures in our district. We are now using a new digital platform that will be available to our firefighters as they respond. Part of the process includes photographs of the property. Some of this will be obtained from Google maps, but others will either be done by drone or a camera. If you see someone taking pictures of your property in the next few weeks or see our drone overhead please know we are just taking the steps to better serve the citizens of our fire districts. We also hope to make this service available to homeowners on an optional basis in the near future. Below are some picture examples of the preplans.
