Rain and the threat of a tropical storm forced us to postpone this fun class that was originally scheduled for June 16th, but we're excited to announce that it has been rescheduled!

🎬🍕 Adventure awaits at the Sargent Library!

Join us on Tuesday, June 30th at 5:00 PM for an interactive showing of National Treasure starring Nicolas Cage. Follow the clues, solve puzzles, and take part in fun activities throughout the movie as we hunt for hidden treasures together!

We'll have pizza, interactive activities, and a special take-home treasure for everyone who attends.

This free event is part of our Summer Reading Program, so grab your fellow adventurers and join us for an evening of mystery, fun, and treasure hunting!

Congratulations to all of our lucky winners! We love seeing our readers logging their minutes and participating in all the fun summer activities. Keep reading, keep learning, and keep turning in those reading logs—there are still plenty of chances to win prizes throughout the summer!

Dads & Donuts was a sweet success! 🍩☕

We had a wonderful time celebrating dads, granddads, uncles, and all the special people in our lives at the Sargent Library. Families enjoyed coffee, juice, and donuts while spending time together and making memories. We also had lots of fun taking silly photos and sharing plenty of smiles and laughter!

Thank you to Bay City Starbucks for donating the coffee and to everyone who joined us. We love seeing our community come together, and we hope you had as much fun as we did. Happy Father's Day! 💙📸🍩

Day #3 of STEAM Building at the Sargent Library is in the books and brings our STEAM week to a close for Summer 2026 ! 🤖✨

Today, kids and adults put their engineering skills to work creating Doodle Bots—drawing robots that brought art and science together in a fun and creative way.

Along the way, participants practiced patience, problem-solving, and perseverance as they worked through challenges and made adjustments when things didn't go quite right the first time. That's what engineering is all about!

Of course, we didn't stop at building. Everyone also had the chance to unleash their creativity by decorating their bots with plenty of bling, personality, and flair. The results were as unique as their creators!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this STEAM adventure. We loved seeing your creativity, determination, and imagination in action! 🚀🎨🤖
