It’s time for summer reading adventures, kids! We haven’t given away any prizes yet this summer. Who will be the first to get BINGO?
We have lots of fantastic prizes waiting for you: Swimming passes, Movie passes, Flying Dinos, Dinosaur Eggs, and many more exciting surprises!
This program is open to children from birth through those entering 6th grade. Let’s start reading and have fun all summer long!

We’ve just started a new puzzle at the library! Come on in, relax, and add a few pieces. It’s a fun, ongoing community puzzle you can join anytime.

Fewer kids are reading for fun these days. Our library is working to change that with exciting reading contests for all ages, from birth through 12th grade. Let’s make reading fun again!

The “summer slide” refers to the decline in reading, math, and other academic skills that can occur when students take a long break from school over the summer.

You can help prevent it!

By participating in the Sargent Library’s Summer Reading Program, children can maintain and even strengthen these important skills in a fun, low-pressure way.

Best of all, summer reading gives kids the freedom to read for pleasure and explore topics that genuinely interest them.

Just a reminder: Next week is Chokecherry Days, so there won’t be a library program. Our next kids program will be on June 20th!
