Pope Soil & Water Conservation District's Rosholt Field Day will be held on August 12th from 9am-1pm.

We are excited for this year's line up of speakers including topics on soil health, nitrogen best management practices, irrigation, tillage, cover crops, soil sensor technologies and installation, and weather station network. New this year we will have a local farmer panel featuring producers implementing soil health practices. They will share what they are doing and how it works for them. This event features irrigation in addition to the other topics but all types of farms will gain valuable information that can apply to your farm.

VIDEO #3!!!🎉

No-till farming is a sustainable agricultural practice that involves growing crops without disturbing the soil through tillage or turning. Crop residue remains on the surface, helping to prevent erosion, improve soil structure by creating pore space for air and water, increase water infiltration into the soil profile, and keep the soil cooler during hot, sunny days.

Hear directly from farmer, Alex Udermann with Meadowbrook Dairy, as he shares his experience incorporating reduced tillage practices on his farm. Watch the video by using the link or QR code below!
