The Sauk Rapids Fire Department has a brand-new addition to its fleet! This new tanker was picked up yesterday and, within the next week, will be fully outfitted and ready to roll, capable of hauling an impressive 3,000 gallons of water wherever it’s needed.

The upgrades compared to the 1980 tanker it’s replacing are nothing short of incredible. This truck was thoughtfully designed to help our firefighters do what they do best, safer, faster, and more effectively than ever before.

Huge hats off to the FD staff and volunteers who played a role in designing and bringing this truck to life. And as always, a sincere THANK YOU to the dedicated men and women who serve on our volunteer fire department. Your commitment and service to our community do not go unnoticed- you are truly appreciated

The votes are in, and again, I am truly humbled. I can’t thank the residents of Sauk Rapids enough for trusting me to be your next mayor!

First and foremost, I owe my deepest gratitude to my family for their unwavering support over the past four months—I absolutely couldn’t have done this without them. Thank you to my opponent for running a respectful, civil campaign. I’m proud that we showed the residents of Sauk Rapids that opposing candidates can engage in a positive political race. Thank you to everyone who went to the polls today and over the past few weeks to cast your vote for me. Your support means the world to me.

And a big thank you to the city staff and election judges who worked tirelessly to make this election possible. I am excited and ready to serve Sauk Rapids as your mayor!

Today is the day I’ve been counting down to for the past four months—the day me and my family of supporters have dedicated countless hours to. We’ve been out in the community, meeting residents, attending candidate forums, participating in interviews, and completing candidate questionnaires . It all comes down to today!

Though a local mayoral race might seem small in the scope of today’s elections, these last few months have been a true journey—and I’ve loved every minute of it. My deepest thanks go to my family for their unwavering support, to everyone who took the time to speak with me as I knocked on THOUSANDS of doors, to all the residents who had to move my yard sign every time they mowed their grass, and to our community for placing your trust in me. I’m ready and would be honored to serve as your next mayor.

With just ONE day left in the Sauk Rapids mayoral race, I am incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support I’ve received. I believe much of this support stems from a positive, respectfully run campaign that reflects the values I hold. An elected official’s term should be viewed as an extension of their campaign, and with all the positive momentum in our community, I’m proud to focus on optimism while recognizing opportunities for growth.

I believe elected officials should put the needs of the community first, setting aside personal agendas to serve with integrity and transparency. The Mayor’s office in Sauk Rapids is meant to be non-partisan, and I’m committed to keeping it that way. Though we inevitably all bring personal beliefs and values to the table, those should never overshadow our duty to serve all residents.

I’m proud of my conservative values—I believe in small government, supporting our first responders, and keeping taxes low. Yet I’ve worked successfully with people of all backgrounds and beliefs to make fair, balanced decisions for our city. My record reflects this commitment.

Sometimes, it’s essential to step back and reflect on why we choose to do what we do. Why do we take on extra responsibilities when we could easily stay in our own lane and simply live? Every time I question why I choose to get involved rather than step back, the answer is always the same: it’s because of my family! They inspire me every day to work toward a stronger, safer, and more vibrant community—a place where all families can thrive and feel at home. One thing I’ve noticed while door knocking around town these past few weeks is how much we, the residents of Sauk Rapids, love our Halloween decorations! It’s been a joy seeing the creativity of our community as they transform porches and yards into spooky, festive scenes. In honor of National First Responders Day, I want to express my deepest gratitude to the courageous men and women who put their safety on the line with every call to service to protect our community. I’ve had the privilege of speaking with members of our police and fire departments—some of whom I’m proud to call friends—to reaffirm that as Mayor of Sauk Rapids, their safety and support are my top priorities.
