‼️Attention Lakers‼️ We have an important event on Thursday 2/29! If you’re unaware, deaths from drug overdose are exponentially rising and are at higher levels than they’ve ever been; 3/4ths of those deaths are from opioid overdoses! To promote advocacy, education, and prevention regarding this issue, we need your support to decrease these statistics!✊🏼
Come join us in our collaborative efforts with SGA+LSSNA+FRA to be apart of the change, this event will be held in the main lobby of the Library and below is the agenda of events occurring on 2/29:
- Student Introduction from 3 to 3:10
- Families Against Narcotics (FAN) from 3:10 to 3:55 PM
- Nursing & Health from 4:10 to 4:55 PM
- Narcan Training Demonstration from 5:00 to 5:45 PM
- Native American Perspectives from 6:00 to 6:45
- First Responders from 7:00 to 7:45
We look forward to working together to improve the quality and safety here at LSSU, the Sault Ste. Marie region, and the nation at large. Every voice sparks a new wave of progress to correcting the crisis of opioids and addressing the issue to be apart of the solution.
