Rendezvous in the Sault: Rendezvous in the Sault is a living history encampment held on the last full weekend of July on the historic grounds of City Hall in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and at the Historic Water Street Homes of John Johnston, Henry Rowe Schoolcraft and Bishop Frederic Baraga. Over 100 visiting reenactors gather for a weekend of fun and education for the entire family. Some of the

weekend events include: canon and musket firing, storytelling, tomahawk throws, musical performances, dancing, puppet shows, children’s games and activities, living history presentations and demonstrations at the camps of fur traders, military families, crafters, and more. Sutlers set up tent stores to sell reproduction items and period crafts. Books on local history are available for purchase and food and refreshments are available on site.
