One of the exciting play features planned for the Outdoor Discovery & Exploration Station at the Sault Early Learning Center is the We-Go-Round.

Designed for ages 2–12, the We-Go-Round encourages inclusive, cooperative play while supporting balance, coordination, movement, and social connection. This accessible feature allows children of varying abilities to participate together side-by-side.

Nature-inspired panels and intentional design elements were selected to help create a welcoming environment where all children can explore, engage, and connect.

SUPERINTENDENT NEWS

Another school year is completed! Woo hoo! Most of our local schools have already celebrated their seniors' graduation. We also congratulate our Learning Center and Project Search graduates. Our job is to work with our students to help them develop their greatest potential. What an exciting time for the students we’ve been growing for the past thirteen years. It is rewarding to see the pathways they take in the future. We’re proud of their accomplishments!

Congratulations also to those in the region who are retiring! Thank you for your service to our students and communities over the years! At the EUPISD, we have a few individuals retiring after many years of service to the region. Congratulations to Yvonne McConkey, HR Manager; Kevin St. Onge, Regional MI Stem Director; Jim Polega, Driver; and Carrie Carr, Teacher Consultant for Autism. Your service to the region is very appreciated. We’ll miss you and wish you the best!

The EUP Promise Zone has awarded 26 scholarships for 2026 graduates attending LSSU or BMCC. As this is the first year, the scholarship application will open again in August for another round. We’re excited that our first-year fundraising goal was met, and scholarships have been awarded. The second year of fundraising is underway. For more information, please go to https://www.eupschools.org/page/eup-promise-zone.

Enjoy a great summer! Take opportunities to learn something new and keep reading!

"The limits of my language mean the limits of my world." - Ludwig Wittgenstein

Speech therapists expand worlds by helping students overcome language barriers.

They work with students of all ages throughout the EUP to help them thrive in the classroom and beyond.

✨Congratulations!✨
As a school social worker, Taylor goes above and beyond to support students with empathy, patience, and care, helping each one to succeed. She builds strong, trusting relationships with families, collaborates with community partners, and is a steady, valued presence in the school.
Her ability to make students feel seen, heard, and supported creates a lasting impact. 🎉

Joe has made a lasting impact through his leadership and unwavering dedication to students and schools across the region. He has helped develop the Grow Your Own program, mentored future school psychologists, and provided critical support through crisis response efforts.
His work continues to strengthen both individual student success and systems across our region. 👏
