Join us on Saturday, September 19, from 12:00–4:00 PM at Dunphy Park for an afternoon of great chili, community fun, and Team Spirit!

This year’s theme is Team Spirit, so gather your crew, show off your colors, and bring your best chili recipe. We’re still looking for more chefs to compete, so now’s your chance to sign up and prove you’ve got the winning bowl.

The Sausalito Police Department advises residents and visitors to plan ahead for significant traffic impacts on Independence Day 2026.

🎉 10:00 AM–1:00 PM
4th of July Parade through Downtown Sausalito

đź’Ą Approximately 9:00 PM
Sausalito Fireworks Show – Gabrielson Park / Spinnaker Point

🌉 Approximately 9:30 PM
Golden Gate Bridge Fireworks Display

🚧 Approximately 9:00–10:00 PM
Southbound US-101 CLOSED at the Spencer Ave exit through the Golden Gate Bridge corridor. Traffic routed to N/B 101 from Spencer Ave during closure.

⚠️ WHAT TO KNOW

• No southbound Golden Gate Bridge access through Sausalito during the closure window
• Northbound US-101 remains open
• Expect significant delays before, during, and after the closure
• Parking is expected to reach capacity

⛴️ BEST WAY TO GET HERE

Ride share, Bike, walk or bring your patience. Transit buses are also extending services.

Learn to sail the Charlie Merrill, a 17-foot traditional Swampscott Dory at SCBC! Two dates with availability left: June 6 and 19.

Our adult (18+) sailing classes cover:
- basics of small boat sailing
- intro to tides and weather conditions on Richardson Bay
- fundamental navigation skills
- right-of-way rules
- general water safety practices
- basic knot tying
- traditional maritime terminology
- intro to seamanship on Richardson Bay

Our favorite part? No prior sailing experience required!
