Behold our old-school Listening Station! A proper hi-fi just like grandpa’s—receiver, CD player, cassette deck, and turntable. No speakers because this is a library, but we supply the headphones. Peruse our diverse collection of vintage CDs, LPs, and cassettes. Check them out or listen to them here! City Librarian Jeffrey Jackson is happy to shoot the breeze with audiophiles and neophytes alike. Come check it out!

Please bear with us as the book return saga continues. The sign in the foreground, as you can see, now points to the mailbox instead of the book return (the dark green bin in the background). We're working on getting the sign removed. P.S. Please do not return books in the mailbox! P.P.S. And, the sign is already gone, thanks to the quick response of Public Works!

We’re excited to announce our brand-new Little Free Library, conveniently located right next to the playground!

Thanks to the generosity of Friends of Sausalito Library and the Department of Public Works team who installed it, kids, parents, grandparents, and book lovers of all ages can now enjoy a little literary treasure hunt while they’re at the park.

Can't get enough Alan Watts? Sausalito Library maintains a prominent, dedicated collection containing his books, rare/fragile print items, LPs, and a large collection of his recorded lectures, reflecting his long-term residency and life in the area, the largest and most complete such collection in the world.

Folks, the book return in the parking lot just wasn't meant to be. We now have one book return, and it's the green one that used to be downstairs by the front door. You have to get out of your car now--please forgive us!
