Located in Sautee, La Saveur is the “Recipe” created by Chef Monda Dodge, who originally made magic happen in the kitchen of the locally beloved Bernie’s Restaurant. Chef Monda is a Chef for Hire who strives to maintain the standards of excellence that go hand in hand with your vision.

Dearest Guests and Friends Near and Far....

So many of you have enriched our lives. As a family operated business we've considered it an honor to be able to nurture those of you who have returned to us year after year - We have always thought of ourselves as so much more than "A Restaurant"

We have been Blessed for 33 years to be a part of our community and have shared so many joyous, cherished and at times heartbreaking occasions over a meal served with love.

So many memories...

For those of you who know me extremely well you have often heard me say "Bernie is the sweet - I am the savory" I also say that to have something wonderful you need to have both for balance.

It is with balance of life needed at this time we announce that "Bernie's Restaurant" will be retiring from our beloved location on April 30, 2022.

As many of you may guess, this decision was very bittersweet. We would like to express just how much ALL of you sharing your moments has meant to us.

Bernie will be able to retire, rest and enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Chef Monda (after a short time of rest) will be pivoting with a NEW creative venture to share with you all! As a "Chef for Hire" doing your occasional small events and pop up dining by invitation.
