Another Fight for Air Climb is in the books! 🙌

Savage firefighters participated in the Fight For Air Climb hosted by the American Lung Association in Minnesota on March 7. They climbed 53 flights of stairs, roughly 1,272 steps, at the Capella Tower in downtown Minneapolis while wearing full turnout gear, which is 60 pounds of added weight. Collectively, the Minneapolis event raised over $160,000 and had 491 people climb to the top. The money raised goes towards education, research, and advocacy for various lung diseases and cancer. This was Savage Fire's third year participating and they hope to continue to do it every year.

Today, February 18, we pause to remember and honor the lives of Burnsville Police Officers Paul Elmstrand and Matthew Ruge and Firefighter/Paramedic Adam Finseth. Let us never forget their courage, selflessness, and the everlasting impact left on our hearts and in our communities. Let us take a moment of silence to honor their sacrifice and keep their spirit alive in our hearts. They will never be forgotten. Heroes live forever.
