🎓 Graduation Day Update for PLHS Class of 2026 🎓

We are closely monitoring Thursday’s weather and, at this time, plan to hold the Commencement Ceremony as scheduled at Dan Patch Stadium.

The ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. rain or shine unless severe weather is forecasted. If rain is expected, please plan ahead by bringing rain gear and something dry to sit on. If conditions become unsafe, the ceremony will be moved to Friday, June 5 (time to be determined).

Important timing updates:

We may shift the start time of graduation as early as 5:00 p.m. depending on the forecast
If a start time change is needed, families will be notified by noon Thursday
A final decision on any schedule changes may be made as late as 4:00 p.m. Thursday
Any updates will be shared promptly via phone, email, and text.

Reminders:
• Senior Social: 8:00–9:00 a.m. (Activity Center)
• Commencement Practice: Check-in begins at 9:00 a.m. (Gold Gym) — required for participation

This past weekend, Prior Lake Speech traveled to Washington D.C. for the NCFL Grand National Tournament. Over 2,200 students from 430 schools nationwide competed.

CONGRATULATIONS to Chloe Erickson and Jayden Nelson who were named National Champions in the category Duo Interpretation! This is the team's first national champion at any national tournament. This is also the first national title for the Minneapolis/St. Paul Diocese in league history.

Additionally, Katie Weaver advanced to quarter finals and finished 23rd in the category of Dramatic Performance.

Next up, all three girls travel to Richmond, VA in June for the NSDA National Tournament. They will be joined by teammates Austin Cleghorn and Layla Urban. GOOD LUCK LAKERS!

Opening This Weekend: Little Women at Prior Lake High School ✨🎭
The stage is set and the excitement is building! The PLHS spring play, Little Women, opens this Friday...and this year’s production comes with a special connection.

Students recently had the unique opportunity to meet Marisha Chamberlain, the playwright behind the adaptation they’ll be performing. Based on the beloved novel by Louisa May Alcott, Chamberlain’s version was originally commissioned and produced by the Children's Theatre Company and has since been performed across the country.

During her visit, Chamberlain shared stories from her career, answered student questions, and even recited poetry, making for a memorable and inspiring rehearsal experience for our cast and crew.
