It was great to spend time with the team at Sauk Valley Community College!

Visits like this are a great reminder of the important role community colleges play, not only in helping students succeed, but also in strengthening our local communities and preparing the workforce our region needs.

I enjoyed learning more about Sauk Valley’s programs, hearing about the experiences of students and faculty, and discussing how the legislature can continue to support the college and its mission.

Thank you to everyone at Sauk Valley for the warm welcome, and a special thank you to College President Dr. Jon Maddrell for taking the time to visit with me!

It was an honor to play a small part in recognizing the Schultz/Miller women for their incredible legacy in agriculture across multiple generations.

There are so deserving of the Legacy Farm Family Award for their work in agriculture, and the path they are paving for future generations of women in ag.

The Schulz/Miller family continues to be an inspiration!

Four generations of Schultz/Miller women were recognized for their commitment to the ag industry.
