The Mobley-Giles-Willis Lodge #7 was initially founded on May 10, 1968, by members desiring to bring support, resources, and a voice to the men and woman who put their lives on the line every day for the communities they love and serve. Our lodge was initially named after S
avannah Police Officer and Detective Frank W. Mobley, who was killed in the line of duty in 1968. Detective Frank Mobley was a 7-year veteran with the Savannah Police Department when he was killed. The Mobley-Giles-Willis lodge celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018. In Aug 2022, the name was changed to add the name of Giles as the official lodge name to additionally honor Detective Jacob Aulmon Giles. Detective Giles became the President of Lodge #7 in 2001 and was the longest serving President of Lodge #7 with 21 years until his death in Apr 2022. Aulmon was a 42-year veteran of the Savannah Police Department and had recently retired with a fulfilling and distinguished career. During his 33rd year, Aulmon received the Eagle Award, given by the Georgia Criminal Justice Coordinating Council to people throughout the state who have made outstanding and meaningful contributions in the field of victim services. Detective Giles was also a member of the Police Emerald Society. In May 2024, the name was changed to add the name of Willis to additionally honor Jack M. Jack was member of FOP and this lodge for over 50 years and was the President for 20 years preceding Aulmon, and then remained on in several capacities when Aulmon took over as President. Jack served as State Sergeant-at-Arms for the GA State Lodge and was Treasurer and Secretary for our lodge for many years. Jack was a 32-year veteran with the Savannah Police Department and had worked almost another 20 years with the Chatham County Sheriff's Department at the Juvenile Court. He was also a military veteran with the Marine Corps and Coast Guard. Our premier Lodge welcomes new members (current or retired LE) from the Greater Savannah area. Our current membership includes LEOs from Chatham, Bryan, Evans, Bulloch, Liberty and Effingham Counties consisting of local, county, state, and federal agencies. Along with the fraternal bond of brotherhood & sisterhood, our members enjoy many benefits for you and your family members.
