The RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) helps people aged 55 and older find service opportunities in the local community. RSVP volunteers serve from a few to over forty hours a week in numerous organizations that range from museums, schools, libraries, senior center, hospitals, nursing home and also American Legion and Lions Clubs groups. RSVP involves retired persons in the service that match

es their personal interests and makes use of their skills and lifelong experiences. There is always room for more volunteers and people who want to give back to their community and their friends.

Experience required: Strong communica1on, administrative, and organizational skills; QuickBooks; payroll and tax preparation. College degree and grant writing experience preferred but not required. Tomorrow, Tuesday
September 14th, RSVP (the Retired Senior Volunteer Program) will be observing 9-11 for all of The Emergency Responders of Andrew County. You are invited to a special dinner and program at the American Legion Post in Savannah, MO 5:30-7:30 PM.

Invitations were sent out a month ago but a lot has happened in that month and the invites could have been misplaced. This annual dinner is being held so we can thank you all for everything that you do for us on a daily basis to keep us and our community safe .

In just a few hours the Mackinac tour will be completed. Kathy and I want to thank all of the attendees for your participation. We have enjoyed seeing all of the sites that were only previously names of places to us . Seeing parts of the country that we had read about and dreamed about has been so wonderful. Getting to meet new people has added a great deal of names to my contact list. Thank you and your enthusiasm has solidified our thoughts that we may be up for planning another trip in the future ! Thank you all!!

The annual Savannah All City Garage Sale is scheduled for Saturday, June 5th

Garage Sale Permits are being sold for $10 in the RSVP office at the Sr Center, beginning May 5th from 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM. The permits entitle the user to hold their sale on Thursday-Sunday June 3- 6 with the permit posted at the sale location

Many, many thanks of gratitude for all who participated in our recent Tractor Cruise! You could have chosen many other things to do on that Saturday and yet you chose to be with us, tractoring 45 miles through the beautiful and peaceful rural parts of our county, and we are so grateful for you! Our program, like many others, is experiencing very difficult times due to the Covi circumstances- YOU made a positive impact! Your support is so appreciated!
