A full summer Friday morning at Savannah Children’s Museum.

Mad Scientist experiments in the new STEAM Center classroom with Hinesville Childcare Learning Center field trip.

Farm Friday in the museum sensory garden where we learned all about muscadine grapes growing there then sampled different types of grapes.

This visitor review below sums up the experience best:

“Such a great experience for the kiddos! Fun, interactive exhibits, a train car to cool off in. And the new Steam Center is very cool (and air conditioned with a restroom)”

History happened here.

Your donations help fund field trips to Coastal Heritage Society sites like Pin Point Heritage Museum, so students can connect with the stories, culture, and history that shaped our community.

“This was an awesome experience for my students. They learned so much about Gullah culture and were immersed in it. Our tour guide made it a very engaging experience, and students had the opportunity to question her and interact with her. I definitely recommend this place!” — teacher Michelle Autrey

In honor of our nation’s 250th anniversary and the places where history happened, please consider making a special gift of $250 to support preservation, education, and access for our community.

What an arty Messy Monday today at Savannah Children’s Museum.

Campers from Camp Moon River at Savannah Country Day School each created their own little communities of hotels, hospitals, army bases, and flower shops as part of a field trip program in our STEAM Center classroom.

A sidewalk art contest next door at the outdoor section of Savannah Children’s Museum was an explosion of color.

Congratulations to Nyla (pictured) on winning the contest for her butterfly drawing based on the museum’s beloved butterfly mural.

Join us for daily themes during summer, Wednesday-Monday 9am-2pm.

Next up: Water Wednesday. Come prepared to get wet. 💦

(Tuesdays: Closed to public, open to group bookings)

Savannah Children’s Museum Mobile Museum joined today’s Military Kid Appreciation Guard Pups Event with the 165th Airlift Wing in Garden City.

Kids put their STEAM skills to work designing and launching paper rockets while learning about centrifugal force.

One of the many highlights: Meeting a rising second grader who recognized Lead Museum Educator Ms. Katrinka from a school field trip this spring to Savannah Children’s Museum. Her mom shared that the field trip was such a hit, the family plans to visit us this summer.

We also shared Coastal Heritage Society family membership information and military discounts with these families. Thank you for your service and for welcoming us to such a special event.
