Hardin County Carl Perkins Center

Hardin County Carl Perkins Center Our mission is to provide support to families in preventing and dealing with child abuse in West Tennessee.

Volunteers are a vital part of Exchange Club Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse and aid in the center being cost effective. The team of volunteers actively assist the Center in all of its operations. No matter what your age, your abilities or the amount of time you have to give; if you have a heart for helping children, the Center could use you. A few hours a week or a month can

make a life-long impact on the life of a child and his or her family. Parent Aides

Parent Aides work directly with the families and assist in meeting their emotional and practical needs. The focus of the Parent Aide's job is to provide emotional support to the parent so that the parent may, in turn, nurture the child. These volunteers are also available to provide transportation to medical appointments, legal appointments and various other places that they might need to go. They provide support, reassurance, guidance and provide a positive role model. Superfriends

Superfriends work directly with the children, assisting in meeting the child's needs and serving as a positive role model. These volunteers often provide transportation or emergency assistance by taking food, clothing, formula, diapers, furniture, and other items that the child might need.
