This morning, 8-30-26 Hardin County Dive Team members assisted TWRA in recovering a partially submerged boat in the TN River north of Clifton. The boat was damaged in an accident, but there were no injuries reported.

Important Weather Update for this Evening

The latest update from SPC and NWS-Memphis is out.

This morning, we could see a scattered shower or two, but the greater threat lies later on this evening. As you can see, we are now expanding into the level 2, slight risk category for southern HC. The majority of HC still remains in the level 1, marginal risk category. This system has the potential to shift further into HC with a level 2 risk. Stay weather-aware this evening into overnight.

Last year, we climbed to honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who gave everything on September 11, 2001, and this year we're doing it again!
The Firefighter Support Fund is hosting a Silent Auction to raise vital funds for our local heroes. We are looking for local businesses and community members to donate items, services, or gift certificates.

Your generous contribution directly supports local firefighters during their time of need. Whether it's for medical, hardship, or funeral expenses, or something in between, we want to help those who protect our community. Our fund also helps to cover the firefighter and their spouse and children up to age 18.

Our registration numbers are low, and we need a packed stadium to show our local heroes—including the incredible youth in our Junior Firefighter Program—that this community stands behind them. Whether you are a first responder climbing in full gear or a resident walking the track with your kids, every single step honors the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice.

🇺🇸 SCHOOL & COMMUNITY CHALLENGE: We want to see our local sports teams, student organizations, and school staff showing up in full force. Form a team, walk together, and keep the legacy alive.
