East Battalion C-Shift recently put our new hose package to work, and this video shows its effectiveness. The lower-pressure hose and straight bore nozzle make it easier for a single firefighter to move a charged hose line, improving efficiency on the fireground.

Great work by East Battalion C-Shift as they continue to train, adapt, and prepare for the job.

Squad 313 carries more than equipment, it carries a renewed symbol of sacrifice, honor, and freedom.
A new American flag will fly from Squad 313. Every call we answer beneath those colors is a reminder that courage has always come at a cost.
To the fallen heroes who never made it home, we remember you.
To the families who carry their legacy, we honor you.
To those who continue to serve, we thank you.
The flag may be new, but what it stands for is timeless.

The Chatham County Fire Department extends our deepest condolences to the members of the Boston Fire Department following the Line of Duty Death of Firefighter Robert “Bobby” Kilduff Jr.

Firefighter Kilduff was critically injured while operating at a structure fire after a third-floor porch reportedly collapsed. Despite the efforts of firefighters, EMS personnel, and hospital staff, he later succumbed to his injuries.

A third-generation firefighter, Marine veteran, and father, Firefighter Kilduff served the City of Boston for 24 years.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and brothers and sisters of the Boston Fire Department during this difficult time.
