The Hardin County Library is a public institution providing services and resource information to meet the community residents’ personal, educational, and professional needs. Special emphasis is being placed on providing popular reading, listening, and viewing materials, and to stimulate young children’s interest and appreciation f

or reading and learning. The Hardin County Library board and staff recognize the impact of technology upon the lives of the residents of Hardin County and strive to ensure that the latest technologies are available. Our online sites are governed by the general rules of respectful civil discourse. You are fully responsible for everything you post. The Hardin County Library does not discriminate against any views. Nevertheless, the Library may monitor any user-generated content as it chooses and reserves the right to remove content for any reason whatsoever, without consent. We do not verify the identity of participants. Here are some rules we follow:

We will remove content that contains abusive, vulgar, offensive, racist, threatening or harassing content, personal attacks of any kind, or offensive terms that target specific individuals or groups. We will remove spam and content that promotes services or products, or that involves political campaigning or lobbying. We read How to Catch a Daddysaurus by Alice Walstead and celebrated Father's Day with a special craft. The kiddos colored dinosaur-themed "Me & Dad" cards, creating sweet keepsakes just in time for the weekend. 💙

Our Summer Reading for Adults group gathered Thursday for our Memoir Writing program, and it was a wonderful evening of storytelling and reflection. 📖✨

We talked about what makes a memoir unique, shared some of our favorite memoirs, and discussed well-known life stories we've read or heard about over the years.

Then it was time to tell our own stories! Each participant chose a meaningful memory or experience from their life and wrote it onto a tiny memoir scroll. Those scrolls were carefully tucked away inside their personalized time capsules, preserving a piece of their story for the future!
