After receiving an unfortunate update before closing their 2025 season, the Savannah Aquatic Center's last day of the season for 2026 comes with joy for the center's future.

It has been hard keeping this under our hats!! Nodaway Valley Bank applied for a match to their $25,000 gift to the pool from FHLB and THEY TRIPLED IT!!! Thank you NVB and thank you Chanda Proffit for doing the legwork on the match!!

MAKING A BIG SPLASH. Andrew County Aquatics Initiative committee members Jamie Baker, Christie Lightle and Diane Gould, president, accept a $100,000 contribution from Nodaway Valley Bank, represented by CEO James G. Robinson and local branch manager, Chanda Proffit, and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines toward renovation of Savannah’s municipal swimming pool complex.

NVB partnered with Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines on a 3:1 matching grant through their Member Impact Fund. The Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri serves as the 501c3 umbrella organization to receive contributions to the Andrew County Aquatics Initiative.

“Nodaway Valley Bank recognizes the importance of Savannah’s municipal swimming pool and is pleased to be able to help fund its renovation so it can continue to serve the community for years to come,” commented bank CEO James G. Robinson.

Who loves bingo?? Our friends at Laverna Manor are having a bingo night tonight with all proceeds benefiting ACAI! The money raised at this event will go into our longterm fund to ensure the amazing facility we repaired and upgraded together will receive the care and maintenance it deserves.
