Yesterday, staff had a celebratory and farewell outing to Sidney Dairy Barn! We welcomed Libby as she finished her first week interning for us, and waved goodbye to Nick Mies as his last day is tomorrow. Savoy is lucky to have great employees like them!

Just off Dunlap, Triptych Brewing has been a fixture in Savoy since 2013. As the village's only brewery, it has grown into a popular gathering spot โ€” a place where neighbors catch up, unwind, and enjoy a cold one.

With a taproom and beer garden steps away from the brewery across the street, Triptych has carved out a welcoming corner of our community. ๐Ÿป

Seventy years ago today โ€” June 3, 1956 โ€” Savoy's first Board of Trustees was organized and its officers elected. John Jones became Village President, with Kenneth Fisher, James Trover, Vernon Brown, James Johnson, Henry Lawson, and Willard Koss as the founding Trustees. James Corwin served as the first Treasurer, and Bernard Grussing as the first Village Clerk.

From that first gathering to tonight's regularly scheduled Study Session, the commitment to public service continues with our current board (left to right) โ€”Trustees Larry Kanfer, Joan Dykstra, Dennis Donalson, Village President John Brown, Trustees Bill Vavrik, Heather Mangian, and Dee Shonkwiler. ๐Ÿ›๏ธ
