Open to the public 11a-4p – free parking and admisssion. Enter at 155 Pittsburgh Street, Fireman’s Club.

The Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company is hosting its annual BBQ competition this weekend. The event will have 16-18 BBQ Teams in the KCBS Masters Series competing for points and prizes.

The public is welcome to stop by on Saturday between 11a and 4pm to witness some of the nation’s best BBQ cooks preparing meats for a panel(s) of certified judges. (It is similar to what you might see behind the scenes on a show like BBQ Pitmasters.)

The Fireman’s Lunch Stand, on the carnival grounds, will be selling great BBQ and beverages on Saturday from 11am to 3pm.

The Menu Includes:
Meats: Smoked Hot Sausage and Smoked Pulled Pork
Sides: Baked Beans, Mac & Cheese, and Smoked Corn on the Cob
Beverages: Marburger Tea, Lemonade, and Beer

If you enjoy BBQ – Stop by and see how the pros do it and enjoy a bite with your friends.

Over the weekend several members attended the Jimmy Ellis Firefighter Foundation Training Weekend. Members attended the Friday Lectures, and the following HOT (hands on training sessions), Keys to the City, Maximize your Extrication, Advanced Vehicle Rescue Scenarios and Non Traditional Truck Company. Thank you to the members who gave up their weekend to train.

Last night members of Saxonburg VFC, Buffalo, Sarver, Herman, West Deer 1 and Harmony attended a 4 hour grain bin rescue class. This class gave our mutual aid partners a chance to use the grain tube in a simulated situation. It also served as a refresher for others for these low frequency high risk incidents.

Saxonburg VFC is one of 4 Butler County Departments equipped with a Grain Rescue Tube. The others are located at Harmony Fire District, North Washington VFD and Prospect VFD.

The course was presented by the National Education Center for Agricultural Safety.

Today the Saxonburg Fire Company was happy to host  The Saxonburg Spartans and Cheerleaders Celebrate "Kick Off" for their 2026 season!!! We wish them good luck this season

No your eyes aren't deceiving you. Earlier today Ladder 15 was requested into Armstrong County to standby at Kittanning #1. While enroute to the standby Armstrong 911 requested L-15 along with Sugar CreekTwp Company 230 for a call in the West Hills Area of East Franklin Twp. Once the call was cleared both units moved to Kittanning Boro to continue the standby. (Photo Credit Sugar Creek Township VFD).

Good morning Saxonburg Community. We are looking for a few grain bin panels that we would be able to cut for our grain bin class on Monday. If any of our local farmers have any old ones it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

This past Saturday, some of our members and their families took a well-deserved break to enjoy our annual fire company picnic!

There was kickball, wiffle ball, flag football, plenty of food, and even more laughs around the fire.
(We’re happy to report there were no injuries on Saturday, although there were definitely a few bags of ice snd sore muscles on Sunday.)

A huge thank you to everyone who helped organize the day and to all who came out to make it such a great time. 🚒❤️
