Tussey Mountain School Administrators along with the Safe School Committee held important safety training today during teacher in service day.
Stop the Bleed training was conducted by Conemaugh Hospital followed by ALERTT (Armed Assailant/Active Shooter Response) training by Pennsylvania State Police.
Teachers and support personnel then participated in an active shooter exercise involving a simulated response to the threat from their SROs, Saxton Police, Everett Police and PA State Police along with Saxton Fire & EMS.
All teachers performed great in following their Lockdown and Run/Hide/Fight or Avoid/Deny/Defend best practices.

Our sincere respect along with thanks to all those who participated today in helping keep our Tussey Mountain Schools SAFE through this training and exercise! đź‘Źđź‘Źđź‘Ź

Fire Safety sessions for 3rd & 4th graders were held today. What a wonderful group of already knowledgeable and confident students.
Thanks to all of them along with their teachers and support staff for visiting our firehouse for a special morning reviewing how to prevent and survive fires.
