Measuring irrigation output supports application of correct water amounts to your lawn.

Simply install rain gauges, measure water after 20 min. of irrigation and do some simple calculations to find the average 1 hour water volume of your irrigation system. You can then calculate irrigation hours by subtracting average rainfall from monthly evapotranspiration needs for grass type, location and season.

Typical irrigation needs vary from 1–2 inches per week, but understanding real application rates supports water conservation & efficient use of resources by preventing overwatering.
