Rich Mosher, MS, NRP, FP-C
Rich Mosher is a board-certified Flight Medic, Clinical Educator, and Podcast Creator with a 20-year history in the industry who is passionate about inspiring change within the culture of EMS and questioning “the way it’s always been done”. His background in field training, mentorship, and quality improvement was the inspiration for his desire and subsequent journey to change the standard of care, pushing the limits of the status quo, and improving professionalism within the industry. When he is not flying, teaching critical care review courses, or behind the microphone, he can be found at home getting into all sorts of trouble with his children, living every moment to its fullest as perhaps the biggest kid of all.

Simplifying the Squiggles: EKG for BLS Providers
Agricultural incidents challenge rural EMS providers with a combination of severe injury, hazardous environments, and prolonged extrication times. Farm trauma frequently involves tractor rollovers, machinery entanglement, runovers, animal-related injuries, and confined-space or chemical exposures, all occurring in settings where distance, terrain, and limited resources can delay definitive care. This 60 minute session equips EMS clinicians with a practical, physiology-driven approach to the farm trauma patient, from initial scene size up through transport decision-making.
Farm Trauma in the Field: Trauma Care, Shock Physiology, and Extended Extrication Medicine
This informative lecture is designed to equip EMT-B students with the foundational knowledge and skills needed to interpret Electrocardiograms (EKGs) in Basic Life Support (BLS) settings. Students will delve into the principles of cardiac electrophysiology, recognize normal and abnormal EKG patterns, and understand how to apply EKG electrodes, and assist ALS in interpretation in the pre-hospital environment. This session promises a comprehensive blend of theory and practical application, enhancing the competency of BLS providers in cardiac monitoring and patient care.
