The Middlesex County Fire Academy is a 26 acre state of the art training facility located in Sayreville, Middlesex County, New Jersey that provides initial and continued education for the men and women of the fire service and other emergency services. The academy opened in 1992 and has trained several thousand firefighters and emergency response personnel from throughout New Jersey as well as indi

viduals from across the country and even firefighters from Colombia, South America. The academy provides classroom instruction and dynamic hands on training in all aspects of fire, rescue and hazardous materials response. Our administration building includes eight classrooms with seating for thirty to forty people each. Also, there is an amphitheater with seating for as many as one hundred and eighty (180) people with state of the art audio/visual capabilities. Our training grounds consist of a three story burn building, a five story training tower, a flammable liquid training area, flammable gas (propane) area, vehicle extrication area, various confined space training areas, a hazardous material and industrial training area as well as a drafting pond.
