As we're getting ready for the storm and seeing some weather alerts, here's an infographic that has helped this social media guy remember the difference

As always, stay as safe as possible as the storm comes through. If power lines go down stay away from them and report them to JCP&L and contact the police department non-emergency line to report the issue.

Call 911 if you see any fire or any immediate emergency. Emergency services will be ready for calls

At 9am this past Sunday morning, members of Sayreville Engine Company trained on our new Pierce Ladder Truck 1. Members practiced their skills controlling the bucket and flowing water to get comfortable with the handling.

Sayreville Fire Department and mutual aid crews are currently working on Scott Ave for a working structure with heavy fire and wire exposures.

Please avoid the area to allow room for crews to work and for your own safety

Busy day for Engine Company and the rest of Sayreville Volunteer Fire Department and our day may not be over yet.

First was a brush fire spanning almost one acre behind Quick Check on Main St. Crews from all four companies, NJ Forestry Service, and our mutual aid companies worked for nearly 3 hours containing and extinguishing the fire.

While operations were wrapping up there Engine Company was also dispatched for a dumpster fire in Winding Woods. Sayreville Engine 7 and South River Engine 3 responded to put that out as well.

As we are expecting heavy thunderstorms in the coming minutes we ask that you be safe while the storm passes. Call 911 to report any downed wires and do not get close to them.

Happy June! Summer will be here before we know it.

If Truck 1 looked a little different, it's because our new truck has been in service. It came back to us in December after getting some finalized work done at Fire & Safety Services, Ltd. but professional pictures were delayed due to recent weather craziness. For now we have this picture in our bay.
