Rick Johnson, a host from radio station 99.9 The Wolf, joined us recently for a presentation on vinyl records. Rick is a collector and has somewhere around 3000 records! He taught us the history and evolution of music through the ages, how records were made, how album art transformed over the years, and even what the top 5 most expensive albums in the world are and why.

Rick also brought in a small selection from his collection, including his oldest record (from the 1940s), and some fun record and album art. He even played a couple of records for us. Resident Janice couldn't decide which part of the show she liked best: "the history, the artwork, all of it was just incredible!" she said. Thank you, Rick, for your time, knowledge, and fun!

We celebrated World Photography Day this year by posing for a Mainers in a Mason Jar photoshoot. Residents shared their stories of either growing up in Maine or how they came to be here. We then took photos and merged them with a photo of a Mason jar that we took out in our garden. Everyone really got a kick out of their final results!
