Elsa (Elsie) Elm Tree

Elsa (Elsie) Elm Tree Elsie the Elm tree Elsie has been a landmark in Scarborough long before any of us were born.

According to a recent news story, Elsie is about 190 years old and has endured Dutch Elm Disease and perhaps even lightening strikes. She is growing weaker by the day and it is expected she will need to come down as did Herbie in Yarmouth.

Thank you Frank for caring for Herbie.
