🦋 what An amazing endeavor from one of our member township!! 🌱

Since Zion becoming an official Monarch City USA - restaurants in our community have linked arms to distribute Milkweed seeds! Milkweed is the primary plant to which Monarch Butterflies need in order to survive. Our goal is to plant Milkweed seeds all throughout the community in hopes of giving Monarch Butterflies a safe place to land.

If you'd like to plant Milkweed or Zinnias in your yard, visit one of our local restaurants for a bite to eat and get your seeds during your visit!

Current restaurants that are participating in Milkweed & Zinnia distribution are El Lago, N & T's Restaurant, ZoGo's Sports Grill & Video Gaming, Culver's, CJ's Coffee House, It's All Good, Lorenzo's Restaurant, Healthyums, Whey Chai, Zion, Cheng Jang, Dada’s Soul, Q's Place, Bakery y taqueria los tres hermanos and the Boonie Mac Shack!

Many thanks to Karen Retzer and Amy Serman with Compassion and Choices. They presented an informative session on end of life topics to our membership.

Compassion & Choices envisions a society that affirms life and accepts the inevitability of death, embraces expanded treatment options for compassionate dying, and empowers everyone to choose end-of-life care that reflects their values, priorities, and beliefs.
