10:05 p.m. UPDATE: The preliminary death investigation indicates the person had a possible medical issue and no signs of external trauma were discovered. There is no threat to the public surrounding this incident. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are working with the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. The officers are clearing the area and the parking will re-open.



Officers are currently conducting a death investigation in the parking lot adjacent to the Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts on Schaumburg Road. A deceased individual was discovered inside a vehicle at the scene.

There is a heavy police presence in the area. Please use alternate routes to avoid traffic delays.

Brush collection in Schaumburg begins Monday, April 21. 🌳 Just place your brush at the curb by 7 a.m. on the Monday of your scheduled week to be picked up within that week.

This program is open to single-family homes only. Be sure to check your scheduled pickup date using the interactive map at Schaumburg.com/Brush.

Branches must only be from trees or bushes (no roots), no more than 8 inches in diameter, and neatly stacked with cut ends facing the curb. Firewood, construction debris and contractor-generated waste will not be collected.
