Governor Hochul announced a $6.65 million grant today for our Land Bank. The funding will be used to build single family homes in Schenectady replacing vacant lots with new quality, affordable homes. Link to Governor Hochul's press release below:

The Capital Region Land Bank, which is administered by Schenectady Metroplex, demolished 866 Albany Street last week.

This was a very badly dilapidated property that was condemned earlier this month by the City. We thank Jackson Demolition and Apex Environmental consultants for working with the Land Bank to take this building down. More progress in the fight against blighted properties.
