Celebrating and embracing diversity throughout AANHPI Heritage Month and beyond ✨
May invites us to reflect on and joyfully celebrate the important role that Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders have played in our shared history. Across our community and beyond, the achievements of AANHPI individuals in many fields, including art, politics, science, and more, deserve to be uplifted. At the same time, this month brings additional opportunities to ensure their voices are heard now and, in the future, as we look ahead together.
The Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC) announced its 2026 theme, “Power in Unity: Strengthening Communities Together.” Sycamore Collaborative joins in upholding this theme and eagerly welcomes Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month. We encourage the whole community to find meaningful ways to support as we embrace diversity and foster dignity for all.

Kathy is the co-founder and director of Jo-Jikum, an organization that supports Marshallese youth in taking action on climate change and other environmental issues.
