The Schertz Fire Department, alongside Roadrunner Towing Service and the Cibolo Fire Department, received a Masters of Chaos Award for Road Clearance and Incident Management Excellence for their response to the November 2025 train and car hauler crash at FM 78 and Schertz Parkway.

🎨 "This week we read "Beautiful Oops." It is a story that reminds us that we can make something beautiful out of mistakes. I use the book to encourage taking risks in art, even if the students don't think that can draw, paint, or create. (I put an "oops" on all pages with paint. Students had to create something out of it.) K-1 used paint daubers and 2nd-4th used waterpaint."
