We hope to see you out today for the Schodack Central School District vote on the budget and the Board of Education election--- and don't forget to celebrate casting your ballot by visiting the Castleton Elementary PTO's annual Strawberry Festival!
Today (Tuesday, May 19) is a busy day in Schodack! Vote until 9:00 PM on the 2026–27 Budget and in the Schodack Board of Education election. Plus, the PTO Strawberry Festival runs from 4:30–7:30 PM at Maple Hill High School.
✍️Budget Vote✍️
Polls are open in the Maple Hill High School Gym (1216 Maple Hill Rd) until 9:00 PM. Schodack residents are asked to vote on whether to approve the following propositions:
1) Proposed budget for the 2026–27 school year
2) Purchase of two gasoline-fueled school buses
3) Establishment of a capital reserve fund
4) Castleton Public Library funding proposition

✍️Board of Education Election✍️
Residents will also vote for three seats on Schodack's Board of Education. Candidates are listed below in the order they will appear on your ballot:
● Andris Blumbergs
● Shelley Palmer
● Mary Yurista
🍓PTO Strawberry Festival🍓
All Schodack community members are also invited to stop by the Castleton Elementary PTO's annual Strawberry Festival before/after they cast their vote. Strawberry Festival is from 4:30–7:30 PM and also takes place at Maple Hill High School. This is a family-friendly event with food, dessert, a bounce house and games.
