What an incredible day at the Spotlight Musical Theatre Program at the Overture Center for the Arts!

The Spotlight program is designed to inspire, educate, and connect young performers with theater professionals while giving students the opportunity to experience a mini theater festival atmosphere.

The DC Everest Performing Arts cast of Dear Edwina Jr. traveled to Madison for a full day of learning, collaboration, and performance alongside other middle school theater students from across Wisconsin.

Students participated in workshops focused on acting, singing, dancing, theater games, auditions, and a Q&A with theater professionals. They also enjoyed a TalkBack session with the professional touring company of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, toured the facility, and capped off the day with a performance on the Capitol Theater stage!

We are so proud of our students for representing DC Everest Performing Arts with talent, energy, and enthusiasm throughout the entire event.🎭✨

We are incredibly grateful and proud to share that our production of SpongeBob SquarePants received recognition by the Jerry Awards!

This recognition is a celebration of so much more than a performance on stage. It represents months of dedication, creativity, teamwork, and heart from our amazing cast, crew, orchestra, staff, and parent volunteers. Thank you for the countless hours, energy, and heart you poured into this production.

We are so thankful for the support of our families, school district, and community. This recognition belongs to everyone who helped bring this show to life. Congratulations to all involved!
