A new program called the Veggie Bunch has reached out in hopes of using the Eagle's Nest as a pickup location for its new program! They are looking for community members who are interested in volunteering to help with food pickup for families who are in need in the Schoolcraft area!

The Veggie Bunch "stocks your kitchen with healthy nutritious foods" and "brings more than just vegetables...it brings benefits to multi-generational households and saves money for your entire family."

They are looking for someone who can volunteer between the hours of 4pm-6pm, once or twice a month at the Eagle's Nest to allow families to pick up their food boxes. No packing, delivering, or buying groceries is required!!

Please message the Eagle's Nest if you are interested and we can provide more information!

As a note, this will not take the place of our monthly Food Pantry delivery.

Earlier this month, dropped off 44 birthday boxes to be used by the Eagle’s Nest! She wanted to do something in memory of Nancy Rafferty and reached out to our wonderful community members for support! Each box contains cake mix, frosting, candles, napkins, plates, and a Happy Birthday banner. These boxes will bring smiles to many, many faces! Thank you Michelle!

This was perfect timing for our volunteers as we had many loose ends to finish our move from the original Eagle’s Nest to the old high school/middle school. A big THANK YOU to our local volunteers for a job well done!
