As the final buses pulled away today, it wasn't just the start of summer vacation... it was the end of an incredible school year!

Thank you, families, for another amazing year filled with incredible partnerships. We could not do what we do without your constant support, teamwork, and love.

Enjoy your family time, soak up the sunshine, and make some unforgettable memories. We will miss these smiling faces, but we can't wait to see how much they've grown when we welcome them back in the fall!

The final bell has rung, the kids are heading home for summer, and four of our absolute favorites are heading off into retirement!

Happy Last Day of School and a huge, heartfelt congratulations to Mrs. Kedrowicz, Mrs. Nowacki, Ms. Mein, and Mrs. Quinn!

Thank you for your years of dedication, inspiration, and hard work. You will all be deeply missed, but we are so excited for your next chapters!

Last week, our 6th graders took a big step forward by touring the Junior High to get a sneak peek of what awaits them next year. While moving up to 7th grade is incredibly exciting, it can also bring a few butterflies. 🦋

That’s why the absolute highlight of the day was a Q&A panel featuring some fantastic current 7th graders! They did an amazing job answering questions, sharing insider tips, and completely easing our 6th graders' nerves about everything from locker combinations to finding classrooms.

Schoolcraft Elementary could not have asked for a better day of fun in the sun yesterday! From the 6 awesome events to the popsicles and t-shirts donated by our amazing PTO, the 2026 Field Day was a day filled with pure joy.

A massive thank you to our PE department and staff for leading the charge, our enthusiastic spectators, and all of our volunteers (including some fantastic high school faces!). You all made today so special for our students.

We are excited to share a major step forward for Schoolcraft Jr./Sr. High School!

Over the past couple of years, the Jr./Sr. High School team has taken a hard look at how best to serve our students. While early middle college and dual enrollment opportunities had their place, it often meant that our students spent much of their day off campus.

Thanks to a redesigned daily schedule and an incredible amount of work from our Jr./Sr. High School staff, we are proud to now offer more high-quality, engaging courses right here at Schoolcraft than ever before.

Beginning in 2026–2027, our new daily schedule opens the door for expanded elective opportunities that allow students to explore their interests, build real-world skills, and stay connected to our school community.

New and expanded offerings include...

Science:
Biology II, Forensic Science (semester), Physics, Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology

Arts & Performance:
Advanced Drawing, Art I & II, Portfolio, Jazz Band, Band, Choir, Percussion, Intro to Drama, Yearbook

Career & Real-World Learning:
Marketing, Accounting, Journalism, Real World Readiness

Unique Electives:
Global Issues, Gone Boarding, Physical Training, Advanced PE

Middle School Additions: Math & Engineering Design, World Religions, Science of Aviation, Introduction to Economics

And we’re not done yet, as additional opportunities are still being developed for next school year and beyond!

This work reflects our commitment to providing meaningful, engaging learning experiences while keeping our students connected to Schoolcraft. We are incredibly proud of our staff for their creativity, collaboration, and dedication to expanding opportunities for our students.

*Early Middle College and dual enrollment opportunities are not going away, as they remain an option for students who are interested.
