Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a four-unit apartment complex with heavy fire showing from a second-floor apartment. Crews quickly deployed hand lines and conducted an aggressive fire attack to bring the incident under control.

🚨 Incident Alert 🚨

On December 19, 2025, at approximately 8:00 a.m., the Schriever Fire Department was dispatched to Caldwell Middle School for a reported structure fire.
Upon arrival, units found the school had been safely evacuated. Fire personnel made entry and observed smoke throughout the hallways. The source of the smoke was traced to an air conditioning unit inside one of the classrooms. The fire had been extinguished prior to the Fire Department’s arrival by school staff using a fire extinguisher.
Schriever Fire Department personnel ventilated the building using fans to remove remaining smoke.
The Schriever Fire Department would like to commend the administration and staff of Caldwell Middle School for their quick and decisive actions. Their prompt notification of emergency services and proper use of a fire extinguisher prevented further damage and ensured the safety of all students and staff. Damage was limited to the air conditioning unit, and no injuries were reported.
After the building was deemed safe by fire and school officials, students and staff were allowed to re-enter the school and resume normal operations.
