The Schroon Lake Volunteer Fire Dept is a group of men and women dedicated to protecting the lives and property of the residents and visitors of Schroon Lake, NY We operate two engines, one engine-tanker, one engine-rescue, one tanker, one heavy rescue, one utility truck a boat and utv out of one station located at 28 Industrial Drive.

Come see us down by the Schroon Lake Boat Launch for a touch a truck event and to watch us in action during one of our water supply drills (mutual aid with Chilson FD) from 10-11am today! Applications and kids activities available.

Yesterday evening we responded to a call for what appeared to be an abandoned kayak. Thank you to the Word of Life Island staff for their assistance!

Luckily no one was in danger, as it appears to just have floated away from shore with the high waters. If you find that you are missing your kayak as you begin to open your waterfront for the season, please message us to see if it's a match.
