We meet the 4th Tuesday of every month at the Expo Center in Wolters Park.

The Schulenburg Young Farmers will be having a turkey shoot on Sunday October 11 at High Hill Store. Shoot starts at 1 pm and the first round is free. Money generated will be put into the scholarship fund.

The Schulenburg young farmers will be having a meeting on Wednesday September 2 at the Expo Center. The results from the hay show will be announced. Meeting starts at 7 pm.

Schulenburg Young Farmers will be hosting a CEU program Tuesday Nov. 27 at the Auction Barn. Program starts at 7 pm and YF will have a short business meeting at 8. Public is invited.

THE PROGRAM CHAIRMAN FOR THIS MONTH IS PATRICK JANDA. PATRICK HAS DR. JIM SLADEK COMING TO GIVE A PROGRAM ON HERD MANAGEMENT.
OTHERS ITEMS ON THE AGENDA ARE UPCOMING ELECTION OF OFFICERS. ALL OF THE OFFICER POSITION ARE UP FOR ELECTION. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN HOLDING AN OFFICE, PLEASE COME TO THE JUNE MEETING.
AREA III WILL BE HOSTING A HEIFER AND GOAT SHOW IN NAVASOTA ON SATURDAY JUNE 23. THE SHOW WILL BEGIN AT 10 AM. IF YOU ARE AVAILABLE TO COME HELP, PLEASE DO SO. YOUR HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
THE SUMMER PICNIC FOR THE STATE WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY JULY 21, 2012 AT THE GEORGE BUSH PARK IN SUGARLAND. THERE IS A S***T SHOOTING CENTER THERE ALONG WITH A HIKE AND BIKE TRAIL. THE PICNIC WILL BEGIN AT 1 PM AND A MEAL OF PORK STEAKS WILL BE SERVED AT 5:30 PM. MEMBERS ARE ASKED TO BRING A SIDE DISH.
THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MET IN APRIL. RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE CHAPTER WILL BE MADE AT THE JUNE MEETING.

The chapter will have a meeting tonight at the Expo center beginning at 7 pm. The program will be on landscaping and which plants are best suited for our area. Come and bring a friend.

18 members from our chapter attended the State Convention for the Texas Young Farmers in Austin this past weekend. Had great tours on friday and bought home the Outstanding Chapter Award, and the Public Relations Award. Connie Koopmann was installed as State President. Looking forward for next year.

Christmas Party Sunday night at the Swiss Alp Farm Bureau Hall. Social begins at 5 and we will eat at 6:30pm. Bring a dessert and door prize. Hope to see everyone there with some Christmas spirit.
