We are hosting a SOLD OUT World Migratory Bird Day Hike on May 9th at Van Curler Preserve from 8am-10am. As spring arrives in the eastern U.S., millions of migratory songbirds take flight heading north to their summer breeding grounds. Along the way, they stop in our natural areas to feed on insects to fuel their flight. This is the perfect chance to see warblers, tanagers, and many more exciting species! We also have several breeding species at Van Curler to see! While this event is sold out, keep an eye out as people may return tickets. Additionally, we encourage everybody to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day even if that isn't with us!
*This event is subject to weather and may be canceled due to a severe rain event. Please sign up at the Eventbrite to receive updates as they occur. Participants will receive an email within 24 hours of the event with any changes. Updates will also be available on our social media.

Two event post, one day! We also want to invite all of you to join us for Nest Fest! It will also be hosted next Thursday, April 23rd, from 5pm-7pm at Township Hall Park. This is a fun way to celebrate the start of bird migration and learn about nest boxes, types of nest, bird feeders, and more! 🪺

We will also be crafting our own bird feeders with pinecones - a super easy task for all ages! These feeders can be hung in your yard for bird viewing opportunities!

Our goal of the event is to ensure everybody is properly educated on how to maintain nest boxes and know what nest they are looking at before breeding is in full spring. This will benefit you and the birds! We hope to see you there!

*We encourage sign up for this event as it is weather dependent. In order to maintain timely communication with participates regarding any necessary changes, reserve tickets at the link below (even if you’re unsure you can make it!)
