Yesterday, ODF North Cascades went into "Fire Season." This means that if you live within ODF's protection area, there are additional restrictions on outdoor activities. Currently, ODF North Cascades is in "Low" fire danger. You can see the activity restrictions on this chart.
In ODF's protection area statewide, ODF is the primary responder for wildfires, and the local fire district is the primary responder for structure fires. The reality is that in those areas, regardless of the type of fire, you are going to get a response from both agencies.
In our area near Scio, ODF's protection area consists of Rodgers Mountain, the north side of Larwood, Fish Hatchery near the hatchery, and Bilyeu Den. If you aren't sure if you're in this area, you can click on your location on this interactive map: https://gisapps.odf.oregon.gov/firerestrictions/PFR.html
As ODF establishes their own restrictions on outdoor burning, burn complaints withing ODF's protection area should be routed to ODF's office which is listed at the bottom of the chart.
