Miss. Maggie and Miss. Danielle are ready to take on new SOS feeding therapy clients in their NEW FEEDING THERAPY ROOM! 📞: Call (570) 992-6720 today!

Children who typically qualify for the SOS feeding program:
🍽 Eat less than 10 foods in each category of starches, fruits/vegetables, and proteins
🍽 Have difficulty gaining and maintaining appropriate developmental weight
🍽 Have difficulty engaging with new foods when presented to them
🍽 Have delayed oral-motor skills required for eating age appropriate foods

SOS feeding therapy is an approach developed by Dr. Kay Toomey, a pediatric psychologist with over 30 years of clinical experience assessing and treating children with a wide range of feeding challenges.

First we started off by reading Peanut Butter & Cupcake, a book all about friendship. Then we talked about what qualities make for a good friend. Next we decorated and enjoyed our very own cupcakes with all of our friends!

Fireworks can be scary, especially for our sensory sensitive kiddos. Before the big firework show this year try out some of these preparatory activities.

🔵⚪️🔴 Before the big show start with videos!

💡 Watching a clip of fireworks on youtube is a great way to prepare your child for the lights and noise!
💡 Start with the volume low and higher the volume as you go!

🔵⚪️🔴 What to do during the firework show?!

💡Watch from the inside! Watching fireworks from the inside of a familiar house/room can be more comfortable and decrease the noise.
💡Try having your child wear noise reduction headphones to decrease the noise! 💡You can even wear sunglasses to decrease the light .

🇺🇸 And as always have fun and listen to your child! Do not force them to tolerate for longer than they can to help prevent a traumatic experience.

🔎 Looking for a way to engage your child socially with kids their age?! PAAC offers social skills every Wednesday. Social Skills is a great opportunity for your child to interact with other kids their age in a structured environment! Each week a different topic is addressed and a set curriculum is followed.

We offer 3 different groups!
(ages may vary depending on skill level)
🟢 Peanuts: 4 years old - 7 years old
🟢 Elementary: 8 years old - 12 years old
🟢 Teens: 12 years old - 16 years old
